Philosophy Jumputan (the rainbow kain in Javanese) is a form of tie dye that translates to "picking something up using the finger-tips". It is practiced across the archipelago, with motif designs influenced by the individual cultures of Bali, Sumatra and beyond.

DO

Wash on gentle cycle at 30 degrees

Use a gentle detergent

Wash items with similar colors to prevent dye transfer

Hang items or lay them flat to dry. Avoid direct sunlight as it could cause fading.

Iron on low heat, but we recommend a steamer if possible, to remove any wrinkles.

DON'T

Avoid bleach or other harsh chemicals as these can weaken the fabric and cause discolouration.

Avoid high heat in washing, drying and ironing as these can damage the fabric.
