Craft is the beating heart of Pedasss Atelier
Craft first, fashion second. In a world that rewards speed and efficiency, we chose time, skill & legacy. We partner with artisans to keep tradition alive, cutting waste with small batches and pay for mastery, not speed.
Craft is the art of making things with your hands
Picture this...the heat of the sun against your skin, the sound of fabric rippling in the gentle wind to the backdrop of dangdut music and the latest village gossip being shared. Laughter. The click-clacking sound of a loom. The smell of natural dye and burning wax fill the air. Life moves slowly here, every act is meditative, every moment seem to linger forever...welcome to the Atelier.
The Atelier is where the magic happens. Master artisans use their skill, passed down generations, to create items of enduring beauty. With their slow, knowledgeable hands, every yard of textile is crafted, with quiet obsession and with love.
Because you can't create intimacy when something is rushed.
We fall for things that take time.
For hands that don’t hurry. For centuries-old techniques that reward patience.
Every line drawn in wax, every woven string...from the cotton being picked to the final garment, each of our products exist because of the love, dedication and discipline of the masters who have kept traditional textile making alive. Every step a mirror the processes in the past...slow, precise and intentional.
We build with artisans.
Artisans are our partners. They are the lifeblood of Pedasss Atelier.
We respect them with pay that make sense. Credit them by sharing the history of each textile, tales that may otherwise disappear with time. Supporting them by highlighting their craft, so the next generation won't forget them.
Our founder knows our artisans personally, and the way they beam when they see you wear Pedasss Atelier, is what keeps our fire flaring.

A Note from the Founder
"When I started the brand, it was important for me to understand the history & the process, but also get to know the makers & their story. Every relationship I have built for Pedasss Atelier is real and personal, and that's what makes our Commitment to Crafts so important, because I know first hand whose lives & future it impacts."

Commitment Born From Personal Relationships
Connecting through hours of meditative creation, being in touch with our heritage, we laugh & we share stories. I got to know them, their lives, their dreams, their families.
I know everyone who works with Pedasss Atelier personally. They're not faceless entities, but artists with names & stories. This is Narto & Tomo, who create our woven "lurik" fabric. On my last day in their village, they climbed a tree & sent me home with 3kg of fruits from their front yard. Honestly? I can't wait to go back.
Bayu is humble, quiet, but you'll hear him giggle softly at the raucaus jokes of the other artisans. He's the youngest in the weaver's studio, and continues the legacy of this heritage textile.
Warni weaves after she works the field. A grandmother with a sharp wit, an absolute gem of a human being.
We keep it limited on purpose
Not to gatekeep, but so the work stays special. Drops over seasons. Stories over inventory.
Once you see it, you just know there’s something special about it.
From Indonesia, to everywhere. Crafted by hand. Worn by rebels.
