FABRIC Handwoven Lurik cotton from Central Java. Made on hand-operated looms using a technique that's been practised since the 9th century. Naturally dyed with mahogany bark and indigo — both harvested and prepared by hand by the weavers themselves. The colour you're looking at was made entirely from plants and bark. No synthetic dye. No shortcuts. The dye process depends on sunlight, weather, and season. This colourway cannot be reproduced.
FIT Deep V-neck halter, single button at the waist, open at the back with two tie closures to fit your silhouette. Wear it with the matching shorts and shirt as a set, or with wide-leg trousers for something that'll make people look twice. True to size.
PATTERN Most handwoven textiles begin with thread already made. This one begins before that...with cotton picked, indigo and mahogany harvested, dye prepared from scratch. The most traditionally made piece in our entire collection. Start to finish, entirely by hand, in Yogyakarta. We can only make 4 pieces.

Wash on gentle cycle at 30 degrees
Use a gentle detergent
Wash items with similar colors to prevent dye transfer
Hang items or lay them flat to dry. Avoid direct sunlight as it could cause fading.
Iron on low heat, but we recommend a steamer if possible, to remove any wrinkles.
DON'T
Avoid bleach or other harsh chemicals as these can weaken the fabric and cause discolouration.
Avoid high heat in washing, drying and ironing as these can damage the fabric.
